I’ll admit I’m not the best at traveling light. For the last 12 years, everywhere I’ve gone I’ve had to bring multiple checked and carry on bags to house both my pro makeup kit (which is a surprisingly large amount of stuff) and personal items. So when I get to go on a trip that involves absolutely no work, it’s a struggle because I don’t want to compromise in any way shape or form the quality of travel size natural beauty products that I’m taking for my own grooming, but I don’t want to be lugging around a bunch of junk, duplicate items or heavy bags unnecessarily either. For my most recent trip to Yelapa, Mexico (purely for pleasure), it took me a solid hour to just to sort through and plan out my beauty product assortment for my week-long trip.
As usual my efforts become your gain because I spontaneously decided to film a quick video right after I got out of the outdoor shower (in the open air bathroom!!) of exactly which travel size natural beauty products made the cut for my no-compromise satchel of supplies.
As you’ll see in the video, I didn’t set everything up all perfectly. This was raw, real and what I used daily to make my skin, hair, teeth and underarms happy in the tropical, sea-side, jungle-like climate.
To be honest I also wasn’t super concerned with how I looked and didn’t wear makeup (except for one or two evenings), but I did want to ensure that my skin was protected from the sun, hydrated, exfoliated, and my hair was clean and manageable (in that wild, beachy sort of way) and of course that I didn’t smell yucky either!
